Review a document using Agent

To review a document with GitLaw Agent, upload the contract or paste the text into the chat, then ask for what you need in plain language: a summary, an explanation of specific clauses, or a check for missing or problematic terms. The Agent responds in the chat and you iterate from there.

Before you start: a GitLaw account, and the contract as a DOCX, PDF, MD or HTML file (maximum 5 MB per file), or its text ready to paste.

How do I review a contract with GitLaw Agent?

You can chat with GitLaw Agent to review a draft document using plain-language instructions:

Upload the contract or paste the clause into the chat. Accepted file formats are DOCX, PDF, MD and HTML, with a maximum file size of 5 MB per file and up to 5 files per message.
Ask for a summary. Choose the Review a document option, or request a plain-language summary or an explanation of specific clauses, for example "Summarise this confidentiality section".
Identify issues. Ask the Agent to flag missing sections, contradictory terms or clauses that might be problematic. For example, "Review this contract and highlight any missing termination provisions".
Review and iterate. Based on the Agent's explanation, make tweaks and fix issues by prompting in plain language until the document is right.
