If I invite a colleague, can they see my personal contacts and files?
No. A colleague you invite only sees the organisation you invited them to. Your personal life stays yours.
Your worlds are kept separate
Each organisation has its own contacts and its own memory (the things GitLaw remembers about how you work). They never mix.
- Your personal organisation holds personal contacts - your landlord, your plumber, your dentist.
- Your business organisation holds business contacts.
Invite a colleague into your business organisation and they see that organisation's contacts and memory - nothing else. They never see your personal organisation.
What about your own preferences?
Your personal preferences - tone of voice, "no emoji", language, theme - are user-level Settings, not organisation memory. They travel only with you, and are never shared into a team's memory.
Who can change shared memory
Within a shared organisation, not everyone can rewrite what it remembers:

In a team, even a confident automatic update to shared memory asks for confirmation first - nothing changes behind your back.
