Do I pay for people I share documents with?
No. Sharing is always free, on every tier - including Free.
When you share a file, a folder, or a Project, the other person opens it from their own GitLaw organisation, using their own AI credits. Nothing they do is billed to you.
Why it's free
GitLaw only charges for the members of your organisation - the seats you pay for. Someone at another organisation you share a document with isn't a member of your team, so there's nothing to bill.
Send a contract to a client, a co-founder, or the other side's lawyer, and:
- They open it in their organisation.
- They use their own credits if they run the AI on it.
- You pay the same as before you shared it.
