About this template

What is this template?

This is a formal statutory request under the Indian Trade Marks Act 1999 to manage the registered address for service. It is not an application for a new trademark registration, but a maintenance filing for existing records. It contains specific fields for Agent Code and Proprietor Code and includes a separate section for changes mandated by public authorities.

When should you use it?

Use this form when an international trademark owner needs to designate a local Indian address for official registry correspondence. Use Form TM-M instead if you are requesting a general amendment to the register not related to the address for service.

Who it's for

  • a registered trademark proprietor without a principal place of business in India
  • a registered user of a trademark needing to substitute an address for service
  • an entity whose Indian service address was changed by a public authority
