Export your document to Word or PDF

To export a document from GitLaw, open it in the GitLaw Editor, select Export from the document menu, choose Word (.docx) or PDF, and confirm to download. The export reflects exactly what you see in the editor, so accept or hide tracked changes first if you want a clean copy.

How do I export a GitLaw document to Word?

Open the document in the GitLaw Editor.
Select Export from the document menu.
Choose Word (.docx) as the format.
Confirm to download the file.

The exported DOCX preserves tracked changes (insertions, deletions, replacements), comments with author and timestamp, and the thread structure. Headings, lists and tables are carried across where possible. In a DOCX, tracked changes come out as native Word track changes the recipient can accept or reject.

PDF export is one-way: the recipient cannot edit the document or continue tracking changes. If you need an editable version, use DOCX instead.
