Lyrics Use Permission Agreement
This agreement grants a licensee non-exclusive permission to reprint specific musical lyrics for use within a designated written work. It outlines the conditions of use, including limitations on advertising and the number of printed copies, and specifies the compensation to be paid to the licensor.
PERMISSION TO USE LYRICS
This agreement is hereby made between [name of licensor] and [name of licensee] regarding the reprint of musical lyrics:
In that the Licensor has the full and legal rights over [song], and that the Licensee is seeking non-exclusive rights for reprint, the Licensee is hereby granted permission to reuse the following music/lyrics:
[all the lyrics that are to be used] from [song title], [album], [musician], [date], [producer].
The Licensee agrees to use the lyrics solely within the following written work: [title], [author], [projected publishing date}, {publisher]. The Licensee may not use the lyrics as the title of the work or for any advertising or promotional purposes of the written work.
The permission for reuse is for [number] printed copies of the written work. Should subsequent reprinting be desired, this contract shall be amended by both parties, in writing.
In exchange for these services, the Licensee will pay [amount, royalties, etc.]. If the Licensee engages in use of the copyrighted materials outside of the conditions set down in this agreement, [he/she] shall be subject to [penalties].
