About this template

What is this template?

This is a formal criminal court application used in India to recover goods or vehicles held by police. It is not an application for property already produced as evidence in a trial, which would instead fall under Section 451.

When should you use it?

Use this when police have reported a seizure to a Magistrate but have not yet brought the physical items to court. Use an application under Section 451 CrPC if the trial has already commenced and the property is before the court.
