This document is a formal agreement for the fixed-term (one-year) appointment of a college lecturer in India. It outlines essential terms including salary, teaching responsibilities, exclusivity of employment, and conditions for termination due to misconduct or breach of rules, with the lecturer's service conditions governed by the college's own published rules.

CONTRACTUAL APPOINTMENT OF COLLEGE LECTURER

THIS AGREEMENT is being made BETWEEN The Committee of Management of the ___________________________ College ("the Committee") of the one part; AND _____________________ s/o/d/o Mr. ____________________, resident of _____________________________________ (hereinafter referred to as the "Employee") of the other part.

IT IS AGREED BY AND BETWEEN THE PARTIES AS FOLLOWS:

The Committee hereby appoints the Employee to the post of Lecturer for a period of one year, commencing from (Date) ______________, on a monthly salary of Rs. _____________.

The Employee will teach the following subjects to students: ___________________.

The Employee shall, in addition to teaching the students, perform any other such services as may reasonably be required of him by the said Principal in the interest of the College.

The Employee will work exclusively with the Committee and will not accept any other job, including self-employment.

The employment of the Employee under this agreement shall be regulated by the rules and regulations passed by the Committee, as amended from time to time.

In case of misconduct or inefficiency or breach of any rule and regulation or of this agreement, the Committee may terminate the services of the Employee. The President of the Committee may initiate any such action on receiving a report from the Principal of the said College, or on his own motion. In such a case, the President shall require the Employee to show cause why his services should not be terminated under this agreement. The decision of the President in this respect shall be final.

The conditions of service, rights, and privileges — with reference to leave rules, Provident Fund regulations, retirement allowances and so forth — shall be as contained in the published Rules of the said College, which shall be deemed to be incorporated herein. The Employee hereby agrees to abide by all such conditions in so far as they may affect his services.
